- Fixed a bug where the project wouldn’t load correctly if you saved the project while on the Publish step.

- Reference Manager: search for books and journals to automatically populate your source citation information.
- Step 5 – Snippets: Unsorted snippets now sit in the right hand side tab view. This gives more screen space to the main snippet section.
- Import a structure from another Writing Helper project.
- Added some onboarding help.
- Improved date picker for citation published date selection.
- Some visual updates, keeping in line with the Windows version.
Version 1
Version 1 released 16 February 2022.
The main aim of version 1 is to create a native Mac version based on how the Windows version of Writing Helper works.
Features
- Review the essay question, understand the ‘instructional verb’ in your question, and brainstorm.
- Structure the essay into sections and add some writing tasks or reminders of things to do.
- Open files or websites and highlight important sections, and search for keywords.
- Slot these highlights and keywords right into your essay.
- Reword each highlight or snippet, or mark them as direct quotes.
- Manage all your citations to make complete and accurate bibliographies.
- See a health-check on the whole essay, with links directly to where you can go to fix issues.
- Publish to Word, with complete navigation and a full bibliography.
